The second is a day built to use up everything the place has.

№ 02 HOW IT WORKS

Take the whole place

Handing you the keys is not the end of it. Three reasons why.

    Every base has its own mountain

    Nishiwaki has ridges that keep climbing and steep unsealed forest track. Nothing here was smoothed out for you. It is the clearest possible answer to what a Jimny is actually for.

  2. 02

    The riddles live in the app

    A mission belonging to this base and no other, on the phone we lend you. Map and compass in hand, you drive, and you collect the hints one at a time. Where to go next is yours to work out.

  3. 03

    The road counts as much as the view

    What you find at the end is the scenery this region keeps to itself. We never said the way there was gentle. The rough part is the best part.

№ 03 THE MISSION

The Golden Rooster legend of Mt Saikōji

Nishiwaki has carried the legend of a golden rooster for as long as anyone can remember.
Laugh & Rough built a mission on top of it.
Treasure map in hand, you read the hints the mountain gives you and go after the gold.

№ 04 ON THE DAY

How the day goes

  1. 01

    Collect a map and a phone

    We show you how it works there and then. Bring nothing.

  2. 02

    Get in the Jimny

    Automatic or manual, chosen when you booked. No settling-in lap. The mountain starts immediately.

  3. 03

    Follow the hints up the mountain

    Directions are on the phone too, and they work with no signal.

  4. 04

    Solve it, then come back

    What ends the day is the mission, not a clock.

What the price covers

  • A phone on loan

    Riddles, directions and SOS. One device does all of it.

  • Cameras, inside and out

    Front, sides and cabin recorded — and your Top 5 Screams film.

  • Fuel

    There is no need to fill up before you return.

Car: Suzuki Jimny, automatic or manual — choose when you book.
CDW (optional vehicle damage cover) ¥5,500 per day, tax incl.
Clothes and shoes suited to forest tracks are recommended.

№ 06 AFTER THE DAY

The day keeps

Afterwards the day comes back to you as a page of its own.
The road you took is drawn onto the map, with the numbers and the film beside it.
